Prof. Dr. Onay graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at Ege University in 2002. He completed a Ph.D. in the Department of Genetics of the Area of Child Health and Diseases at the same university in 2006. He was involved in the establishment of the Molecular Genetic Research Laboratories in the Department of Medical Genetics at the Ege University Medical Faculty. He is a widely renowned figure in the definite diagnosis of genetic diseases by the Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) method. He is currently a lecturer at the the Department of Medical Genetics in the Medical Faculty of Ege University.

Bahadir Onay graduated from the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Dokuz Eylül University in 1994. He completed a Master´s degree in Computer Engineering at the same university. After working as a senior manager in the technology sector for 10 years, he established Idea Technology Solutions, which develops corporate business software, in 2005. He is currently the Managing Partner of Multigen and Idea Technology Solutions.
